Early proto of the 2600 with the controllers built in. This unit was also used in test markets so there's a few out there. Problem was if the controllers broke it was the end of your game system. A few prototypes are floating around out there. Deep sixed in favor of the 2600 with detachable controllers. Now if only the Odyssey 2 had followed their example...

It was actually after the 2600. it was going to be a cheaper version of the 2600 for people who couldn't afford the real thing. it was scrapped by Atari in favor of the 2600 jr.
