A brand new portable Famicom, in the tradition of the Game Axe or Game Theory Admiral, but cooler than both of those machines. Apparently Gametech did the smart thing when Nintendo tried to shut down thier clone factories: They took Nintendo to court and won the right to produce their own Famicoms. So these machines are being sold in Japan, on Nintendo's home turf.
Has four buttons, standard A and B and Turbo, takes standard Famicom carts but works with NES games via the usual converters. The screen is a color 2.5 inch backlit LCD screen (about as big as a GBA) and is of pretty good quality (no white blurriness of frustration here.)
It also plays both Japanese & American NTSC and European PAL games without a hitch. You can even output PAL games to an NTSC tv set! Holy jumping Jesus monkey!
Availble at Liksang and other HK import sites.
Advantages over Game Axe: Takes less batteries, screen looks better, not the size of a city block.
Advantages over Game Theory Admiral: Not a pirate piece of junk, no need for wierdo specialty converter that may never come out.
Next payday....
