KATZ MEDIA PIPPIN

In 1997 before the Pippin's early demise a Norwegian company named Katz Media planned to market the Pippin in the UK, France, Germany, and the Netherlands. However by the end of 97 Bandai pulled the plug after a failed co-venture with Sega and Katz Media was left out in the cold. The company vowed to support the Pippin but was never able to get it off the ground. This particular version was sold as a set top internet box (Katz Media had signed contracts for exclusive on-line shopping) and also as a software development unit. However it's estimated that less than 1000 Pippins were sold in Europe, making this version of the Pippin the rarest. I saw one on Ebay that sold for over 600 Euros.
