Here is a good example of why (until recently) Famiclones were illegal. To the clueless parent of stupid kid this looks just like a Japanese/European SNES. They didn't even take the logo off of it.

It suddenly occured to me that we don't really see famiclones like this anymore as most of the ones that come out now that they're "legal" are either original console desgins or of the Pad type. So the days of blatantly fooling somebody into buying something that they think is something else may be over.

Console itself is pretty boring, similar to the Supercom or any number of others.
