COLECO TELESTAR

Early cartridge based system

Early series of Pong consoles released by Coleco, who is much more famous for their Colecovision console. Similar to a GI machine, the Telestar arcade actually took carts (only 4 carts were released) which are all variations of games available on various pong consoles at the time (like tennis, car racing, and shooting games.) There are nine pong consoles in the Telestar line, with this one being the last. This console certianly gets the award for the most unique design in a game system. I mean, look at this thing. They must have been on drugs. Not to hard to find on Ebay or in thrift stores, run about $20 to $50 depending on condition.

Coleco Telestar clones:

No real "clones" of this system, but there are a ton of other consoles that take G.I. carts which are similar:

PC 50 X machines (Pongs with cartridges)
