BANDAI SUPERVISION TV JACK 8000

Bandai must've really wanted to get into the video game market for a long time. They were the Japanese distributor of the Arcadia 2001, the Vectrex, and Intellivision in addition to thier own consoles. Due to some more research I now know that this console is not an Intellivision clone but in fact a unique console, one of the first original game machines to come out of Japan. There was a series of "TV Jack" pong consoles (including a GI machine) whith this one being the cumulation of the series. The big gray thing at the bottom housed the controllers and also had a hook-up for a keyboard. Games somewhere in-between 2600 and INTV games. Production slowed when Bandai signed on to be the distributor of the Intellivision in Japan, and was ultimately totally destroyed by the Famicom. Not to be confused with the Supervision handheld..
